Supergame 48

Another amazing experience at Supergame 48 in Oregon (May 1st-3rd). Lots of fun with the Project Mayhem crew from the Kelowna area.

Splat Attack Three Man Tournament

Time for another Splat Attack three man tournament in Armstrong on Nov 30th. Oddballs will be entering three teams.

What's Happening in August?

After the Tippmann challenge, seems like things have died down locally. There will be a speedball practice in a couple of weeks at Bushwackers and an IPL event on Sept 14th?

Congratulations to all the teams that participated in the Splat Attack 3 man Tournament. Oddballs "A" went through a rollercoaster day to win the tournament vs some Div2 teams and a surprising Rable Alliance team while the Poddballs finished a solid third in the pump division.

SPLAT ATTACK 3man Tournament

There is a 3 man tournament in Armstrong, BC on March 16th. Oddballs will be entering four teams:

1. Devon, Marcel and Wade: Div4 Speedball
2. Kevin B., Shaun, and Kyle.: Div4 Speedball
3. Mike M, Ron T. and ???: Div4 Speedball
4. Kyle Y., Kevin S., and ???: Pump

Planning for Supergame 47

It seems that the planning for Supergame 47 is underway and some of the players from Kelowna will also be going. Three of us went last year and here is some advice:

• Purchase a 3 day pass and join the RED team.
• Make a list of all the gear you will need and make sure you pack it. You don't want to get there and then realize you forgot your air tank.
• Purchase two or three cases of field or premium paint. Last year both were a similar grade, but the tournament paint is too brittle to shoot through the brush/bush.
• Carpool. It is a 9.5 to 10 hour drive so leave early Friday morning (7:00am) and that will give you enough time to get there, check in at the hotel, register at the event, eat supper, and play the night game. 3-4 people per vehicle will make the drive down a lot easier.
• Split a hotel room or camp on site to save some $$$. See if the hotel has a continental breakfast as that will save you more $$$. There is food available at the event for lunch and nice local restaurants nearby for supper. There is lots of camping on site as the field is located on an apple orchard (nice shade).
• If staying at a hotel, stay in the town of Woodburn or Wilsonville. Both towns are about 10 minutes from the field.
• If you are old enough, bring some beer to drink while playing the night game. After a long day of driving, it is worth it. There is a liquor store in Wilsonville.
• Bring some anti-fog spray as the night game has high humidity. The day games are fine.
• Bring a hydration back pack as it is very warm during the day and fill it with ice in the morning (if you are staying at a hotel).
• The drive home is quite tiring after playing three days of paintball so make sure there is a passenger awake to keep the driver awake.
